Cellulose Insulation in Brighton, MI
Challenge
Our customer had us out to see what we could do to reduce her energy bills. She has a heated four car garage with no insulation in the attic above her garage. One of the symptoms was ice damming which occurred when her heater kicked on in the garage and ran constantly because all of the warm air escaped out through the attic. The problem was caused from no insulation in the attic space. Our homeowner chose to have her garage attic insulated to reduce her energy bills and to get the heater in the garage to not run all the time. The biggest concern was how much her energy bills were.
Solution
Our homeowner chose our company for I built a rapport right from the start and she was able to understand what I presented and how we could fix her problem. Our solution was to air seal and to insulate her attic to prevent heat loss. The biggest challenge that we faced was debris that was in the way and had to be removed in order to insulate. We installed fire block, ZypFoam and Cellulose Insulation. We were able to achieve lower energy bills and her heater did not turn on nearly as much.
