Attic mold found in West Bloomfield, MI
Challenge
Our customer called us after a home inspector found mold in their attic. Our homeowner was in a hurry due to a sale pending remediation. We set an appointment for our sales manager to come in and do a home inspection of the mold. After walking through the attic we discovered not only mold but two bath fan vents with no insulated ducting exiting the roof. Also after checking the attic we found a lot of the soffits were clogged with debris and insulation. The baffles were installed incorrectly or the size didn't fit correctly. Once explaining to our customer the solution for this attic they immediately scheduled an appointment for our company to fix the problem attic.
Solution
Our production team will go into the home and remediate the mold using products RMR-86 and RMR-141 which will take care of most all of the staining and kill the mold. We also clear all the soffits from debris and install all new duel baffles for correcting the ventilation airflow and we provide our customers with a one-year paid in full warranty for remediation, this is transferable upon a home sale. Our customer had two new energy-saving bath fans installed and vented out the roof for this was part of the problem in the attic
