Photo Album: Bats and Guano out & New Cellulose Insulation added in Pinckney, MI

The homeowner explained he had previously had bats in his attic and had them removed but still had bat guano on top of his blown-in cellulose. He plans on selling his home in the near future and wanted to have the attic insulation that contained the bat guano removed and replaced with clean insulation.

Attics are a cozy home for most bat species, as they prefer to live in sheltered, dry, warm places. These winged mammals also prefer dark locations because of their nocturnal nature. Attics provide better shelter than just about anywhere else, so if a bat can get in, it's likely to start roosting there.
