Our customer had contaminated Insulation from mice and some mold substance on the sheathing and trusses. We removed all batt insulation and remediated and disinfected his attic. Afterwards air sealed, place new Duel baffles and added 17" of TruSoft Cellulose Insulation to a resistance of R60.
Our customer called because he didn't believe that the blown in insulation in his attic was doing the job. It appeared as though moisture was getting into the attic and maybe causing mold. Once we completed our inspection there was clearly mold on the sheathing, trusses and insulation. We cleaned the attic removed all insulation air sealed and added new Cellulose. This attic is now clean, healthy and energy efficient.
Our customer called due to a critter control company mentioning there is possible mold in the attic on the sheathing and trusses and also a insufficient amount of insulation on the attic floor. Our company came in and inspected the attic and confirmed there is mold and little insulation also. Our company came in and cleaned the attic mold using Mold X2 and Mold X2 Botanical products. After cleaning we also removed all insulation added new DuroVent duel baffle, air sealed and added new TruSoft Cellulose. Our customer said he notice a difference the very next day.
Upon our inspection mold was caused from lack of insulation and improper ventilation.
Our customer found mold in the attic after replacing a couple bath fans in his home. After our company remediated the mold we than air sealed and blew in new cellulose insulation. Resistant value in 60 with approximately 17".
